We're
not your typical ag chem company....
We are a small, family owned and operated manufacturer of an amazing product.
We got here quite by accident. If it weren't for a few people who were
willing to try something new followed by a magnitude of research, you
would not be looking at this web page.
Spray-N-Grow, Inc. was established as a mail order gardening company in
1982 by Bill and Ethel Muskopf in Houston, Texas. We started our company
with one product - Spray-N-Grow, a micronutrient complex that acts as
a biocatalyst to provide increased yields, larger fruits, vegetables and
flowers, richer, more vibrant colors, higher brix and soluble solids,
earlier harvest and healthier plants that are more stress resistant.
Although we knew that we had an amazing product, we never dreamed our
company would grow so quickly. The number of gardeners who purchased Spray-N-Grow
multiplied as our customers told friends and family about the amazing
results they achieved with the product. From 1982 to 1984 our company
experienced tremendous growth.
Then something amazing happened. Dr. A.E. Nightingale, Professor of Horticulture,
Texas A & M University received an insert advertising Spray-N-Grow when
he received seeds that he had ordered from a mail order supplier. He immediately
called and requested a sample. We sent him the sample, and went to meet
him in person at Texas A&M University.
This meeting was the start of a successful research relationship that
lasted 15 years - up until the time of Dr. Nightingale's death. Dr. Nightingale
conducted his first Spray-N-Grow trial in 1985 on bell peppers. In his
findings he quoted "the product shows real promise and warrants further
testing." By the time of his death in June of 2000, Dr. Nightingale had
conducted over 20 extensive field trials with Spray-N-Grow on various
fruit and vegetable crops.
Our first agricultural customers were small truck farmers and Amish growers,
who had heard about Spray-N-Grow through friends and family. They purchased
Spray-N-Grow by cases of 8 ounce bottles, (that was the only size we had
to offer them at the time).
Spray-N-Grow's Agricultural division officially opened in 1989, due to
a huge increase in demand for Spray-N-Grow by commercial growers. This
spurred the need for larger quantities of Spray-N-Grow, and so we began
to offer Spray-N-Grow in gallons. Now, commercial growers all over the
U.S., and in other countries use Spray-N-Grow on their crops to increase
profitability.
In addition to Spray-N-Grow, growers can purchase additional agricultural
products manufactured by Spray-N-Grow, Inc., including RootGuard Plus,
a microbial biocontrol agent, Coco-Wet organic wetting agent and Bill's
Perfect Fertilizer foliar fertilizer. Spray-N-Grow, Inc. also distributes
Triple Action 20, a highly effective biodegradable fungicide.
